Operation Arctic Storm: The Final MeltdownThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLNot the hardest, but there’s plenty for a party of four to do without stepping on each other! Great interactivity and movement
Bros for Life: Fraternity HeistThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLWildly enjoyable theme with super crafty and creative puzzles! Our GM was super helpful and even though we finished the room faster than we would have expected, I had a TON of fun. Plenty of stuff for a party of 3 to separate and work on without stepping on each other’s toes!
The Seventh RoomDare 2 EscapeEscape roomIRLSo…this was my first D2E room and I’m almost upset that this was my foray into the story of the Tillman family. This feels like their piece de resistance and I should have worked my way up through the other rooms to this one. That being said…wowie zowie! Complex, intricate, beautiful, and terrifying! There are really some mega intense moments and the amount and complexity of the puzzles almost makes me feel that this game can be replayed without ruining the fun. I’d love to replay any one of the D2E rooms, but especially this one!
DreamEscape Artists OrlandoEscape roomIRLTo be fair, I think the negative review is mostly our party’s fault, but I really can’t objectively review the game itself. We were allowed to book with a party one greater than the max amount and it is NOT recommended. There was not enough to do, everyone was yelling over each other and stepping on each other’s toes. The puzzles, I think, were clever, but, again I can’t separate from my experience with the poorly planned party. Rating the details of the game as thumbs up, but overall, mehhh… There should be a ‘meh’ option.
Strange MagicMind MastersEscape roomIRLSingle-room game with a ton of tech involved. I prefer more standard escape rooms, with multi-room, lock & logic based, but this was a really good experience!
The Video StoreDare 2 EscapeEscape roomIRLGod this room makes me yearn for the good ol’ days of video stores. This room pulled on all my heart strings since i grew up in the area it takes place in and spent many many years as a clerk of both regional and national video store chains. The puzzles were so clever and had some really creative mechanics. I want to play this again and again!
The ArchiveDare 2 EscapeEscape roomIRLLove love love the atmosphere and detail of this room! I felt completely disarmed upon walking in to the first chamber and the thrill just kept building. Highly recommended for 4 players.
At The Hop Ice Cream ShoppeDare 2 EscapeEscape roomIRLSuper creative and great addition to the D2E storybook! Loved the vibe and creative new way of utilizing mechanical puzzles. The soundtrack can’t be beat.
NinjaEscape Artists OrlandoEscape roomIRLWildly clever room! I loved the different puzzles in this room and felt that there was plenty to do with a party of four. Highly recommended!
The AsylumDare 2 EscapeEscape roomIRLI first heard about this room from my normal gamer crew when we all went into The Seventh Room, and I was chomping at the bit to get in there. In part, because I heard that the intro video was filmed at the same abandoned asylum that I used to explore when I was in college! So it already had won me over re: storyline and DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Every aspect of this room was creative and challenging. There are for sure jump scares, so be prepared. In particular, I loved the middle room and the ability to play dress up!
