The Last Job

Coming back to fill in the review later, but GM Mya deserves a HUGE shoutout. Amazing GM, and she allowed us 15 extra minutes to play and finish since no one was booked behind us.

I rate this room a 4/5 (ck out my bio for rating system). The set/theme were super cool and unique, definitely 2 pts here. A prop like no other, let's just say! The heist theme was executed so well from all the stolen goods to money flying everywhere! 💰 Puzzles were good - some tech but the majority consisted of locks. Nothing too novel though so 1 pt here. I really enjoyed this game (1 pt). There were some unexpected surprises but we didn't quite finish due to entering the wrong numbers on the very last puzzle! 🤦‍♀️ Unfortunately, frustration surrounding trying to identify where something is in the last few moments changed my enjoyment a bit. The GM was kind enough to give us a second chance at the last part which was very kind and allowed us to at least finish the game. All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better 100th escape experience! 🎖️🎊

Excellent, top notch room. Great high budget props, great tech, great puzzle flow, all the way around great. Everything an escape room should be. Treehouse is our personal favorite, but this was a close second.

VERY cool production value. A couple of technical issues that were handled quickly but not explained...so we didn't understand that there had been an issue and kept trying to solve broken puzzle. Other than that, fabulous room - one of the coolest themes we've done.

would be happier if the store could open earlier (we arrived 15min earlier as told) and GM gave better timing reminder.

Fun game. We were a little disappointed that the business wasn’t open when we arrived, and we ended up starting late. The GM wasn’t very welcoming at first but got better as the game went on. I wish she would have told us the game was staunchly linear and once we left a room, we didn’t need to go back. Some items broke when we used them and hints were sometimes a little delayed but all in all it was a fun. The truck was really cool.

This room felt very heist-like and I’m always down for a good heist. At the start of our game, the game master asked us if we wanted the easy or challenge mode and we opted for the challenge. My review will be based on the challenge mode! Let’s talk about the truck. The truck is a pretty unique set piece and the fact that we actually use a truck as part of an escape room already sets up this room for high immersion. The story got lost on me during certain parts and there was one puzzle that was just unnecessarily difficult but the theme stayed coherent throughout. I would recommend four to five people for this experience. While this room is linear, having more people think through the puzzles helped us overall. Towards the end, one of the puzzles did not end up being part of the experience and I wish they had a way to indicate that this was for the easier mode. I could imagine a group losing time on this puzzle, not realizing that they didn’t need to be working on it! Great set, could revamp some of the puzzles to be less of a time suck and more of a brain challenge! Also, the audio could use some work. It was hard to hear the video and some of the audio cues because the speakers were raspy. All of these things considered, I loved this room and I’m excited for other folks to have a good time here!

Enjoyed the room! It was fun and the truck was unique. My 2-person team was challenged and needed more hints than in most games we played. I got my money’s worth and would come back to try their other rooms.

I'm not gonna hate on this room as this was really good and the puzzles were thought out well with some satisfying solutions. The truck was legit too and was a unique part of the room. However, there was a bit of a stumble on one of the puzzles that took a big chunk of our time. We felt we solved it correctly and kept going through that puzzle several times. Felt like we were at it for a good 15-20 min. Ended up having the GM just give us the combo to that lock. At the end, we went over that puzzle with the GM and it looked like we had everything correct but the document provided to solve it was not right. Thats why the combo we had was not releasing the lock. She said that they just printed out a new document for that puzzle so it looked like it was incorrect. I was a little bummed about that as it made the experience a bit frustrating, but the GM did provide us with extra time so we were able to complete the room. I know that things happen and I'm pretty understanding when there's an issue in a room, but this was such a well designed room that I just wished we got through under better circumstances. I'm sure that document will be corrected for future groups.

Cloud helped us again for the first half. We had a great time, but unfortunately needed about a minute more to escape. The detail at this company is amazing and we’re so happy with it. The immersion is amazing! Thanks for a good night.
