Each of our escape room games will feature one chapter of a continuous story set in the Blackmore Hotel also known as the Homicide Hotel. Your experience begins in the lobby and continues as you walk through the hallways of this eerie old building. You were barely able to escape Room 303. As you were trying to find your way through the hotel’s confusing corridors you stumble across a door that takes you deeper into the heart of the hotel. Learn the dark truth as you explore the inner depths of the Blackmore Hotel. Discover the secret areas where Robert spends most of his time. Robert staged his own death when he escaped from the Sunny Pines mental facility. The police believe he is dead but only you know the truth. You have 1 hour before Robert returns to find evidence that you can turn over to police to convince them that not only is Robert not dead, he has returned to take back his hotel and claim more victims.

2 escape rooms

It was exciting, spooky, and reminded me of Robert Bloch’s lesser known, pre-Psycho, novels of hotel horrors. I was truly riveted. I enjoyed the puzzles in this Chapter. Some were very gruesome and not for the faint of ♥️ heart.

Gameplay

This room flowed seamlessly from Chapter 1.

Atmosphere

The atmosphere was terrifying! Much creepier than Chapter 1!

Customer service

The GM was very friendly, informative, and alluring. He lured us into the second locked room mystery with cunning and skill! I think Robert locked him in the vent! The staff was welcoming and said we were the only guests to return three consecutive nights in a row!

Particularly interesting or different

Yes

This Chapter was very interesting and I found quite a bit scarier and more suspenseful than Chapter 1 (which was excellent, too!)

Story

The story flowed seamlessly from Chapter 1. The plot holds together well, and I can’t wait for Chapter 3!

Difficulty

Medium

It was difficult, but we received nudges from the man in the vent (nudges are optional, but I recommend them, especially if this is your first time).

Game tech

Mechanical

There were a lot of moving parts in Chapter 2. You will love it!

Ideal number of players

2

Two is good. The first room is small, and I think two is the perfect number, though three would give us a different perspective. The more eyes the better for this locked room mystery.

Scary

Scary

I was scared and definitely 💩👖during a few of the mechanical jump scares (I was seriously triggered by the moving parts in this room, perhaps the escalation of the music signaling our time running short, or perhaps the photographs in the first room!)

Minimum age

16

Definitely an adult game due to the true crime photos in the third chamber.

Was anything broken?

No

Live actors

No

The Front Desk Clerk was kidnapped and placed in the vent!

Physically active

Somewhat

There was a clue that required dexterity in the second chamber. Hand dexterity is required for building tools to open clues and arrange puzzles.

Accessibility

The first three chambers are wheel chair accessible, contain audio and visual clues, and require hand dexterity to piece together tools. We didn’t make it past the 3rd chamber, so I cannot speak of the other chambers. I would recommend calling ahead and speaking with the staff before booking. They are very accommodating and I am sure willing to assist so this experience can be enjoyed by all!

Easy to find location

Yes

The uber driver will drop you off at the back side of the building. Be sure to navigate to the front past the foot 🦶 print in the cement!

Parking

Easy

Plenty of parking for guests, uber drivers, and unsuspecting spouses of staff members posing as uber drivers haha! Just kidding! Our mistake!🤣

After the first room, chapter one Homicide Hotel, I immediately jumped to morty to give a 5 star review to that room, it was my favorite room I have played up until that point. So I was excited for room 2, I was told it was scarier and more difficult, I was thrilled to learn that both of these were true. Hands down the best puzzles i’ve ever done, the technology at this place is outstanding, and the room is so detailed and cohesive. The horror element was perfect, it was a perfect blend of jump-scares, unsettling atmosphere, blood curling props, and spooky immersive story telling. I just cannot put my experience into words, I LOVED THIS ROOM.

The continuation of the Homicide Hotel story. We did this room the same day after doing Room 303 and it progresses the story really well with decently challenging puzzles. There’s some parts that may bother you if you’re squeamish.

Engaging story that progresses well with the room. All of the puzzles were well integrated with the plot.

There’s some disturbing imagery we weren’t totally prepared for. Yeah, it’s an escape room about a serial killer. A little heads up would be nice for future folks!

I think I liked chapter 1 the most, but chapter 2 really started strong. Some great puzzles in here, difficult puzzles are my favorite. Set is a bit lacking, and some decor felt unnecessary, but overall a solid follow up to chapter one.

We first played Chapter 1 while on vacation back in December, and after moving to Colorado, Chapter 2 quickly jumped to the top of our “must-play” list. It did not disappoint. We were fully immersed from start to finish—the set design was incredibly detailed, and 303 clearly has escape rooms down to a science. What really stands out is how they deliver a truly intense, adrenaline-pumping horror experience without relying on cliché jump scares or over-the-top live actors. It’s immersive, smart, and so well done. We absolutely love these games and can’t wait for Chapter 3. One of our all-time favorite companies—100% recommend.

This was sadly not as good as the first room. First off, we had a different GM than the first room, and we kind of felt like we were bothering him by being there. He also had a friend (or colleague) with him, and we could hear them talk while we were playing. The game is fun, but not as good as the first one. All in all, we enjoyed it, but I wouldn't say this is a must play.

I think I liked this better than chapter 1! I liked the setup better and thought it was more elaborate. We had a ton of fun and looking forward to chapter 3.

This room is better than Chapter 1, but some of the puzzles required multiple attempts before they worked which is extremely frustrating in the heat of the moment. The theme was great, although parts of it were excessively graphic, but that may be a positive for some people. An enjoyable room overall and I would recommend it, but there are many better rooms available in the area.

One of our all-time favorites! Controversial opinion—this is even better than Chapter 1. Puzzles were challenging and unique and worked into the story well. Our favorite part: You can feasibly do this room without any hints. So many rooms require a certain amount of luck, and if you don’t get lucky, you’ll need hints. This one gives you plenty of guidance without giving anything away. When you escape, you feel accomplished.
