“Everything at Nemesis Club is next level and they set the bar for the future of escape rooms. You are sucked into a magical portal from the minute you enter the building from the street. The magic continues in all of their rooms. Evil Robots gave me Monsters Inc vibes. Technology, animatronics, puzzles, immersive challenges etc. the ending though OMG soooo much fun.”

“This room is unbelievable! Incredibly immersive - gorgeous setting and such a fun overall concept for the company. Great mixture of searching, different types of puzzles, and locks/tactile stuff which we love! Best room we have ever done!! The clue/game master was so friendly and really enhanced the experience. Can't recommend this place enough!”

“A creative and ambitious game that injects a lot of fun amidst some serious puzzle solving. As with all Nemesis games, the set is brilliant, and this one really has some fun surprises. While I did love this game, I will say some puzzles and interactions felt too underclued. A late-game section was simultaneously delightful and frustrating, as we didn’t know how to find the right answer but finding wrong answers was hilarious; when time is steadily ticking down, this can cause undue stress. Still, few games have been such powerful joy factories as this one.”

“This room was beautiful and had amazing puzzles! Everything felt like it had a purpose and it all flowed together well. The atmosphere and set design were incredible, definitely some of the best out of the other escape rooms around the valley. David and Xavier were incredibly kind and let us do their other room for free since we made it out of this one with over half our time left. Definitely give The Greatest Escape a try!”

“From the vibrant set to the wacky intro/outro videos to the variety of whimsical, tactile puzzles, this was a delight. However, don't be fooled by the light-hearted theme: This room is a challenge and will kick your butt! It offers a lot of content, but it gives a clear progress station that shows how close you are. While the searching can be tedious, it's all very fair and clever. Bring a fast-moving team and be prepared for a joyous and highly-interactive experience!”

“This was probably the best escape room I’ve done in Arizona. The room itself was so cool and detailed. Crumbz was by far the best 🍞 Our GM was Scott. We had a great time talking to him about escape rooms and his plans for the business in the future. The hype for this room is well deserved.”

“Diamond Quest was the second game we played at this location and it knocked it out of the park. On of my favorite games I've played! The puzzles are a healthy mix of logic puzzles, tangible puzzles & seek and place puzzles. Definetly would engage any type of player. Story was simple to understand and the sets and special fx in this game were top notch. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this room at this location!”

There’s a reason why this part of the country is called the Valley of the Sun, few places in the US get more sun than this desert metropolis. But Phoenix and Glendale have a lot more to offer than just a nice tan, these closely related cities are a hotbed of culture, attractions, and some of the best escape rooms in the southwest. If visiting in the winter - something that is highly recommended - then consider catching a Cardinal’s football game at University of Phoenix Stadium. Or perhaps you might enjoy a family hike Papago Park? Whatever your interests may be, you’ve go to eat, and Chelsea’s Kitchen is an excellent option for any palette. Just be sure to save some room in the itinerary for some of the area’s best escape rooms - there’s a lot to experience, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself returning again and again.
Phoenix and Glendale have embraced the escape room community over the past few years, turning out some of the highest quality games in the region. Since the first escape rooms arrived in The Valley of the Sun, this oasis in the desert has fallen in love with these immersive experiences. In fact, greater Phoenix is now home to over 20 different escape room venues. Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at Eludesions Escape Rooms is a fantastical adventure suitable for all ages. Grim Stacks: Books & Binding at The Puzzle Effect seamlessly intertwines thought-provoking puzzles into its immersive theme and set design. Escape Westgate’s The Lost Tomb is a fresh take on the popular excavation motif. With dozens of escape games in the area, the possibilities are basically endless — you’ll find games with themes of horror, adventure, crime, espionage, and plenty you may not expect.
Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
