MagnificoEscaparium - LavalEscape roomIRLFrom an immersive theatre standpoint this is a phenomenal 100/100 experience. Loved every second. Go with 4ish people and you won’t regret it. From an escape room standpoint, I was expecting more puzzles for the money/time spent in there. But that is my only very small gripe based on the hype. Granted some of the puzzles were absolutely magical and the most “in theme” I’ve seen an escape room be. If you go with “just embrace the experience and fun” in mind, this is something that can’t be missed.
La Cathédrale Oubliée [The Forgotten Cathedral]Escaparium - LavalEscape roomIRLJust wild. Was constantly surprised, excited, scared, and immersed the entire time. Another level compared to others I’ve done. This is a must do if you like scary escape rooms.
L'Île perdue de la Reine Vaudou [The Lost Island of the Voodoo Queen]Escaparium - LavalEscape roomIRLA pirate room that does everything I’d want a pirate room to do. Immersive spaces, puzzles that are quintessential pirate themed, well integrated tech. Super fun
Armoire à Vendre [Wardrobe for Sale]Escaparium - LavalEscape roomIRLI was grinning from ear the ear the entire time. I think this takes the place of my favourite room. It is narrative heavy but incredibly delightful and surprising and a must-do if you are in the area.
Projet R.E.S.E.T. [Project R.E.S.E.T.]Immersia Escape GamesEscape roomIRLA very uniquely themed room that I think for those that have done a lot of rooms would find it fresh and interesting.
Le Grand Immersia Hotel [The Grand Immersia Hotel]Immersia Escape GamesEscape roomIRLMulti-room, lovely attention to detail, fun story with multi-endings. Creative interactions with an actor. Solid puzzles. All in all a great time!
The Tomb: Raiders of the SwordRevo EscapeEscape roomIRLThis is the most “I’m on an adventure” I’ve felt in any escape room. And for that, it has my love. It’s physical, it’s exploratory, it’s creative, all the things you expect out of Revo along with a set that makes you think you’re actually tomb raiding. The hint system is creative. There is a “health” system, but looking back I wish cared less about it and took more risks as it would take quite a lot for you to “die”. Big fan of Revo, if you’re looking for looking for a place that is more physical and “real” with your escape room, this is THE place to go to.
The Sorcerer's SecretCrypto Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLReally fun room from start to finish. I understand why it ranks highly on the TERPECA list. Great use of different types of tech, interesting storyline and characters, good world building and atmosphere. Enjoyable for our group with mixed experience levels!
Volcano Views: Aerial ToursEscape From The 6Escape roomIRLI am in love with this company. All 3 of their rooms are phenomenal and use tech and atmosphere to their upmost advantage. Super unassuming location. One of my favourite starts to an escape room I’ve ever had. There was one very physical puzzle and one that was hard to see even if you were doing it correctly. But those small details pale in comparison to how much fun we had during the rest. Highly recommend
Neverland: Heist On The High SeasImprobable Escapes - WonderlandEscape roomIRLCompleted online. Although I’d recommend going in person as everything looked magical to interact with, the team had devised a clever online version of their puzzles and interactives so that you feel more “in control” of the experience than just directing someone around. If you can’t go in person then online is a decent alternative! Edit: did in person April 2025 - obviously more fun in person! A few tricky puzzles near the end but clearly a lot of love and fun went into making the cool tech and designs
