Servants of SleightThe Exit Games FLEscape roomIRLIt's hard to add to what others have already said about Servants of Sleight without using spoilers...it's best to go in with as little info as possible and trust that you will have possibly the best 90 minutes of gameplay in Florida, maybe even the United States. (We came from Iowa, not just for this, but MOSTLY for this!) Everything worked perfectly, every inch of each set was delightfully themed with exquisite touches. See that sprig of greenery down by the water spout? They didn't need to add that, but they did, and I saw it and applaud their details. We were a group of two and finished with 13 minutes to spare. Mostly we collaborated on each solve, but you could use the divide and conquer method as well. Our host, James, said it was a non-linear game, but we found it easy to move from one task/solve to the next without much back-tracking or losing the storyline. So, so, SO many surprises and clever reveals. A fully fleshed out storyline that puts the players INTO the story. You're not just solving a problem, or exploring the scene of a former event, you ARE the event and it's absolutely glorious from entry to exit. Looking at flights now to return so we can play their other game! 😉☺️
Neighborhood WatcherThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLWe opted for the "less scary" version (and guess which one of us doesn't like jump scares? Hint: it's not the one you assume!) We love love love everything about this room. It's so imaginative and interesting, and it was fun to play something with a nostalgia theme and having that me the 90s and not the 80s. It made us smile, and also laugh. The actor was superb, really makes the whole experience. All the good stuff you have hear about this game and this company...it's all true.
Haunted HarborThe Escape Ventures - Winter Garden [prev. Escape Goat]Escape roomIRLWhat an absolute treat to play such a new, fresh game during our 20 game vacation! We very much enjoyed stepping into this very well executed world, with so many very gratifying puzzles and tasks. Much longer/larger than expected. I thought we were really rocking with our solving, it felt like we were always busy, but still we went 8 minutes over time AND needed some assistance, absolutely humbling experience, but I still loved it.
Crazy Train: The Ballad of Skeemin' PlotzDoldrick's Escape RoomEscape roomIRLAll the positive reviews and accolades that this room has received...it's all true and it's all well deserved. Brilliant story that you are the "conductor" of. Fun fun FUN puzzles and tasks. Insanely cool set, props and decor.
Lockbuster Video60 to Escape - SchaumburgEscape roomIRLThis game was delightful from top to bottom. Puzzles are more like little mini-games, including a game I have been wanting to try for years! Relies heavily on nostalgia, so some fun could be lost on younger players. Not a lot of room to navigate so I can only suggest duos, or small groups where some folks are ok letting other take the lead. Everything was up to the standards I expect from this company, but some items do show wear, which is not uncommon in high traffic rooms. While 60 To Escape calls this a 7/10 in difficulty, I found it to be easier. It's very straightforward and your goals are laid out one after the other in a very orderly fashion. There is only one small chance for a puzzle to offer ambiguity, and even that isn't much of a hurdle. If that sounds like a complaint, it really isn't, it's a game full of fun, that will leave you smiling, not sweating with effort, and sometimes that's exactly what you need!
Bros for Life: Fraternity HeistThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLAn excellent game with a fully fleshed out story, faultless set pieces and props and many tasks/puzzles that give great solving gratification. If you can only play a couple of games at this location, you really can't go wrong with this one.
Captain Spoopy Bones and the Magnificent Quest For Some Other Pirate's Treasure!Doldrick's Escape RoomEscape roomIRLOur first split start game, and it really challenged us. We also had difficulty with seeing things in the dark, our eyes not as sharp as they once were. Still, a very impressive room with a fun balance of humor aspects and general pirate themes.

Hidden Temple60 to Escape - GurneeEscape roomIRLEverything about this room surprised me, in all the best possible ways. Enjoyable puzzles that were really satisfying to complete, plus a pace and a story that seamlessly moved right along.
Pirates Curse60 to Escape - MilwaukeeEscape roomIRLAye, Mateys, I do enjoy a good pirate game and this here be a good one! Impeccable sets, fun "host" and the added layer of the bonus puzzles really helped this Curse feel more like a Blessing. Main puzzles layer over each other nicely. I like when later puzzles require info from earlier in the game and this has at least one of those. Like all 60 to Escape games, nothing is superfluous, it's all useful, so this was a real exercise in not overlooking anything....that can be hard for my old eyes, which failed to see a few details that would have helped me with the last two bonus puzzles. Ah well, at least I didn't have to walk a plank!
