The blending of storytelling and puzzles was extremely well done and kept the atmosphere light and playful. Quite a few puzzles too that play on the theme of the room and help teach some of the tricks that were used in historical days. The actors were a delight, making the characters come to life and having fun banter with the members of my party (Emily and Scott you were amazing (an apologies if I messed up your names)). Definitely worth the detour to be able to go and play this game.
Sal's CyberneticsThe Immersive MachineEscape roomIRLSal’s Cybernetics was such a joy to play! Our group was fully immersed and invested at every part of the experience. The puzzles, the design, the signaling, all of it was done with such precision and care. It’s truly a must play. Scott was also incredibly friendly, and is helping to build a great Escape Room community out in AZ. I’ll definitely be making the trip back out to AZ just to play more of his games when built.
RockstarCityscape GamesEscape roomIRLFun theme for a first room & executed well. Puzzles were engaging, fun to solve, and gave plenty of "Ah-hah" moments. Love that they are making rooms to embrace the cities they're in, looking forward to coming back and trying additional rooms as they open.
ZookeeperCityscape GamesEscape roomIRLHad a blast playing Cityscape Games newest experience called “Zookeeper”. Lots of fun puzzles, interactive elements, and a unique way to play through the experience that I haven’t seen done before. I think this room would be perfect for a date night, or people with young kids or family members. It has charming elements throughout, and I even felt like I learned a thing or two along the way. Veteran Escape Room enthusiasts will definitely have a good time, and experience a new puzzle or two.
Temetra's HexEscape Hour Point RustonEscape roomIRLHad a blast playing Temetra’s Hex! Everything from the puzzles, to the props, to the set design just had such levels of detail and care. Thoroughly enjoyed my time throughout the room, as there never felt like a dull moment. Got to chat with the owners after. Very sweet people and they were super receptive to small things to make the experience even better than it already is.
Guardians' GroveSure Lock Escapes – Cypher Island (Renton)Escape roomIRLUnique puzzles, engaging story, and very smooth puzzle flow. Guardians’ Grove was an awesome experience with two people, and I could easily see a group of 4 or more having an even better time. The owners are very sweet, personable, and mentioned that they still have more that they’re looking to add to the experience 🤯.
Pirate ShipwreckSure Lock Escapes – Cypher Island (Renton)Escape roomIRLMy team and I had a blast playing both of the rooms at this location. Not only did all of the puzzles make sense, the space was very well decorated and allowed us plenty of room to breathe and maneuver. Beth and Nathan were amazing game masters and took the time to chat with us before and after the game. You could tell they care about the industry and want to provide a great experience. Can’t wait till they build more games!
PlaygroundThe Escape Game - Westfield SouthcenterEscape roomIRLEven though all of the rooms at this location are very pretty, well thought out, and extremely fun to solve - I'm going to leave my review for my favorite experience at the location here. Even with a group of 5 people, we had plenty to do at any given time and many instances where individuals were able to shine with their solving skills. Being near the airport and located in a mall, I think people will have plenty of opportunities to try all of the great rooms available. Mary was also a terrific host for our group, and really added to the experience we had. Cosmo is also a very cute mascot.
