ExtractionThe Curium ExperienceEscape roomIRLThis is the premier experience available in Melbourne today, and is a must see for everyone who enjoys these types of things. The attention to detail in the set design is incredible, to the point where there are SO many little easter egg type things included it's almost impossible to list. The puzzles are good and fair, and as such are very accessible for most players. I cannot recommend this highly enough.
The ArtefactNext Level EscapeEscape roomIRLThis was a very enjoyable experience, our first in Sydney for this week away. Our GM (Zak?) was great and very enthusiastic. I love an experience that doesn’t use a walkie talkie for hints, and this room delivers in spades. The puzzles all flow well and all in all we had a great time.
Heart of the MountainHeart of the MountainEscape roomIRLA great example of what can be done to provide a great interactive experience. Not an escape room, but don’t let that put you off. This will turn out to be one of the must-see experiences in Ausrtalia. Cannot reccommend this highly enough.
The Killer's GameTime is KeyEscape roomIRLA very atmospheric room, with plenty of little jump scares to keep the younger ones on their toes. Some great reveals and clever tricks used in this room. Tiny bit of horror/scary movie knowledge required, but ultimately a very enjoyable and well executed experience.
Mach TwoEscape Hunt - MelbourneEscape roomIRLFor the most part this room was reasonably well executed. We blitzed our way through the first area, and most of the second area too, although were disappointed to see a note on a keypad that had been broken, telling us to call the GM when we have the answer. A few pieces of the set decoration in all were starting to wear out too, which makes it feel as though they may be related to the puzzles (or once were, and no longer are) A reasonably enjoyable experience, but could definitely be better.
