The Man From BeyondStrange Bird ImmersiveEscape roomIRLMost immersive rooms I've done so far. Immersion starts from the second you walk in the door. For beginners this might be a little confusing. Detailed story and narrative. Live actors that really immerse. Non linear room. Puzzle very on theme.Good diagetic and mimetic puzzles. Flowed well. Hint system was very clever and effects were top notch.
Hope EndThe Ministry Of PeculiaritiesEscape roomIRLVery Immersive, its held a #1 spot on Morty for a good reason. the vibe is a mixture of a murder mystery dinner theater mixed with Disney's haunted mansion. throw that into an escape room and thats the most accurate gauge I can give you. Set design was on point! from the room, to the lobby, all the way to the bathrooms. incredibly immersive and great attention to detail to maintain a particular narrative
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz13th Hour Escape Room - WhartonEscape roomIRLvery fun room, one of my top rooms so far. (about 80 rooms at the time or reviewing this). seet design is great, if youre a fan at all of wizard of oz, this is a real treat. tech and special effects are solid. linear puzzle flow with on theme puzzles. I would definietly reccomend this room!
40 ThievesMindTrap Escape Room - TemeculaEscape roomIRLOne of the most immersive games I've played so far. The story draws you in from the very beginning. Tech works seamlessly. Room flows well. Non linear room with lots of puzzles to do. So come with a big group.
Time MachineNot Another Escape RoomEscape roomIRLone of my all time favorite rooms, so sad to see this one go. one of the most unique "wow factors" ive seen in an escape room so far. the room was built on a budget, but what they did with it was nothing short of disney magic
Treasure IslandBrain Games Escape RoomEscape roomIRLWe take our 4 year old to alot of escape rooms and this was his favorite so far! Set design was great. And puzzles were fun and clever to the theme. The attention to detail in the set and puzzles are amazing. Alot of nostalgic callbacks to all themes tiki or pirate themed. Goodies, Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones, the list goes on.
The Last SupperQuest TavernEscape roomIRLone of my favorite room for sure. very narrative driven. live actor in the room, less puzzles than the average room, because there is a heavy focus on the interaction with the actor. while this isnt a traditional "horror" themed room. its not as much scary, as it is high tension moments, which i feel is very similar. but a different enough distinction to be its own thing. not just "guy in mask chasing you and popping up randomly"
Irvine School of Wizardry and the Goblin's SecretsHidden DonkeyEscape roomIRLamazing set design, best ive ever seen, effects were great. puzzles were decent, but flow felt a little disjointed towards the end, but i believe that might be because of the fact that they are planning to make this space into 2 different playable rooms, so theres a change that the space will make better sense
The Weeping WitchCross Roads Escape GamesEscape roomIRLThe flo and storyline were amazing. increadibly immersive. The live actor/GM was Phenomenal. Some rooms the GM doesnt have much affect on the overal game. but in a game like this that makes all the difference. I can defiantly see this experience being much less enjoyable with a less than enthusiastic GM. great job, i think his name was brian? ryan? dang i forgot. he wearing one of those hipster newsboy hats though. ask around but hes a must. We did Funhouse with a new employee and I could tell he didnt have the same level of improv skills as the brian.
Stash HouseStash HouseEscape roomIRLNon linear room. Very immersive. Good premise and story line that keeps you throughout the whole game. Great use of props. Creative and imaginative puzzles that fit the theme. Some LA and late 90s, early 2000s nostalgia. Some of the puzzles weren't for beginners. But not to a frustrating level. Doable with a small group but very fun with a larger group. Even before finding the place it seemed like a "stash house"
