Moriarty's ManorMindFox EscapeEscape roomIRLLoved this room! In my top 5 rooms of all time. This room had a very good puzzle flow, had a great mix of puzzles, spot-on difficulty of puzzles, myself and one other player. Having said that, you do need a good team for this one. Small experienced teams will probably love this because there is a lot of intuitive-yet-challenging stuff to do. Larger, inexperienced groups will probably like it, too but may benefit from nudges from the staff or bringing one experienced player. I do not recommend for a team of 2 or three inexperienced players. Might be a little overwhelming. For myself and my partner, we both loved this room. In a town with plenty of escape, this one is a must play!
The Family CabinQuicksand Escape GamesEscape roomIRLOne of my all time favs! Recommend this puzzle to anyone who lived through the 90's. I have never left a room so happy, as I have with this one. I am obviously biased because I grew up in the 90's. Bias aside, this room includes loads of unique and intuitive puzzles that fit seamlessly together. There is absolutely no deviation from the theme and it is as lighthearted as one could hope to experience. Also, nothing in the room requires preexisting knowledge. If you are in search of a pick-me-up room that doesn't feel stressful(and bonus if you lived through the 90's) then you should book this room. I left feeling as light-hearted as one could hope to feel after leaving a race against the clock. Lol. Classic room, 10/10... and btw, all of the rooms at quicksand are awesome.
The Curse Of KV62Locked AdventuresEscape roomIRLI always enjoy a good egypt themed game. This room was maintained nicely. There were lots of tech puzzles but every single one of them worked without glitching. There was one particular mechanical puzzle that I didn't think was going to work very well but we triggered it smoothly on the first try. Again, very clean and well kept room. Other than that, the puzzles were straight forward. This would be a good entry-level room but experienced escapers might find it a little flat. The best part of this room by far are the game master and host interactions. This place had a lively staff who really added so much value to the experience. Overall solid Egyptian themed room.

AntidoteEscapology - San DiegoEscape roomIRLUnfortunately, my experience with this room was very poor. The room was not designed very well, in the sense that it looked like it took 20 minutes to decorate. There was one decent puzzle in the entire room, and the rest seemed like an afterthought. There was one puzzle that was pretty ambiguous and when we solved it, the solution was so I unsatisfying that it set the downhill experience into motion. There was a pretty big issue with colors in this room. The designers relied on the use of colored items to solve a puzzle but the colors didn't actually match. The game master didn't seem to be aware of this and it took me to the height of my frustration with this otherwise underwhelmingly simple room. Another puzzle had the potential to be a great puzzle but it was so poorly executed that it ended up adding frustration to the experience. It's okay for a beginner, I guess but I was totally unengaged from the cliche plot, to the uninspiring puzzles, to the puzzles that simply did not work well.
Wanted In The WestBrainy ActzEscape roomIRLI had a horrible time in this room. It was hard to establish any momentum, as the puzzles weren't clued very well. There werent many puzzles in the room to begin with, and some of them required leaps of logic to be able to solve. There wasn't even one clever puzzle in the room at all. On top of this, the game master was totally uninterested in our experience with the room. Good game masters usually get an idea of how many games you've played, and ask how and when you'd like to receive hints. Our game master didn't bother to ask and furthermore did a terrible job of knowing where we were at in the game. She would misunderstand what we needed clarification on and launch into long explanations for puzzles that were already solved. At times, a good game master can save a weirdly or under-clued game. The one we had for this game amplified the frustration from an already terrible game. When we finally solved the last puzzle, there wasn't an indication to know that the last puzzle had been solved, leading to possibly the most anticlimactic room escape I have performed to date- by far. Usually, when a room is bad, I can at least have a good time enjoying how bad it is. This one was insultingly bad and is on my top 3 most frustrating rooms of all time. The only thing that could heal this experience would be a refund.
Rock The ClockLock It EscapeEscape roomIRLLoved this room! Very unique look that is obviously an homage to a very famous person. There were some adult themed bits in there (a first for me, with escape rooms) but it wasn't over the top. Didn't expect much by looking at the location but the puzzles were good, they flowed well and the room was decorated creatively. I will be returning for other rooms by this company.
