Nightmare at the MuseumPuzzleWorksEscape roomIRLSo exciting and wonderful puzzles and production design! Dripping with atmosphere and intrigue. One of my all time favorites!
Scooby-Doo™ and the Spooky Castle AdventureEscapology - BurnsvilleEscape roomIRLNothing too flashy as far as a room goes, just a really solid experience utilizing a fun IP! If you like the classic Scooby-Doo cartoon, I highly recommend!
Dragon's KeepTrapped Puzzle Rooms - North LoopEscape roomIRLA room that isn’t too flashy, but is just really good at what it does. It feels cozy, and is a room I honestly want to do again and again. Even knowing answers to the puzzles, I kind of just want to hang out in this room.
The MineThe Real EscapeEscape roomIRLAbsolutely incredible. An actor routinely jump scares you in super clever ways, and it has some of the best atmospheric tension too. The number of times we were asked to brave a pitch black darkness to find vital puzzle components… One of my top two favorite rooms of all time.
Escape From Blood PrisonBlood PrisonHauntHaunted houseI won’t ever be able to fully get past the grim reality of having a fun Halloween attraction walk you past literal solitary cells where unspeakable atrocities happened to the unfortunate souls who occupied this place. But as a haunted house, it is wickedly scary and impressive.
Budapest ExpressEscapology - BurnsvilleEscape roomIRLAs far as rooms go, it’s on the more basic side. But that’s not a bad thing in this context! It feels like a classic, bread and butter experience. It has a simple theme, but makes for a fun backdrop to solve puzzles.
The AnomalyPuzzleWorksEscape roomIRLReally don’t like the structure here, as it feels so bad to be on the “last minute time crunch” for the whole game. Would work better if it was just a standard 60 minutes for the whole thing, rather than 20 minutes for each section. None of the rooms play or interact with each other, which isn’t nearly as fun as PuzzleWorks’s other stuff.
