Hope EndThe Ministry Of PeculiaritiesEscape roomIRLThere is a reason this room has stayed on the top of the community score list for OC/LA and easily one of my favorite rooms so far. As soon as you step foot inside the door, you’re fully immersed into The Ministry of Peculiarities, where even the lobby becomes part of the experience. The production quality is over the top and amazing. The puzzles are incredibly clever and true to the room’s storyline. However, I will say that some were a bit too…subtle? As in, it was a bit hard to tell sometimes if you were finished solving a puzzle. Other than that, amazing room!
40 ThievesMindTrap Escape Room - TemeculaEscape roomIRLI loved this room! If I had to list my favorite escape room companies, I would say that MindTrap was in the top five. The production quality and puzzle design of all their rooms is top notch and 40 Thieves definitely deserved all the awards, accolades, and reviews here. I would even come back just so I can take the time to enjoy all the details they included in this room, it's seriously that good. For anyone doing this room for the first time, I would highly recommend a large group. There's just so much to do!

(Didn’t actually help with any puzzles, but his enthusiasm was infectious). Great mix of puzzles, lots of very clever ones. Usually, I try to come up with one thing that may need improvement, but for this room, I just can’t. Highly recommended!
The Weeping WitchCross Roads Escape GamesEscape roomIRLScary rooms aren’t typically high on my list, but this is one of the few exceptions. I really loved this room, it was so much fun! First of all, the staff here did a great job of getting our team pumped and immersed into the game. Secondly, for such a small room, the production quality is incredible. Finally, and without giving too much away, this may be one of the situations where the GM’s engagement really matters!
Stash HouseStash HouseEscape roomIRLWe did this room for my birthday with the maximum of people allowed lol. It was a really fun and unique room! Even with so many people, there was still so much to do. No one was standing around, everyone was able to work on something. The layout of this room was different and they really utilized the room well. The storyline was different from any room I've ever done and overall, it was a great choice for a birthday celebration.
Lab RatHatch EscapesEscape roomIRLThis game was on my wishlist for a while, but it was totally worth the wait! The theme is very unique and the gameplay was great! Linear game, so it can totally be done with just a couple of experienced players. We did this with a group of five, and there were times where it felt like people were standing around looking for something to do. The puzzles were great, though! While I wouldn't say that this room was super high-tech, there were plenty of elements that went beyond the traditional lock and key without getting too fancy. Well worth all the awards and recognitions!

The production quality is amazing and some of the puzzles were real thinkers! We did this with a group of 5 experiences players, and that was the perfect amount, I think. Overall, it's a great room and the owners are super nice!

Goal and story were well maintained throughout the game, which I feel American games sometimes lack as compared to some of the top games I've played internationally, such as in Amsterdam or Belgium. Highly recommend, especially if you love retro arcades!
The Hex RoomCross Roads Escape GamesEscape roomIRLI will start by saying that if you do this room, you definitely need to have a strong team! This room is not for beginners! Great production quality, as always, from Crossroads, and the puzzles were unique without being frustratingly difficult. Overall, I think I can say that Hex Room is in my top ten favorite rooms so far!
