I can't wait to take on their other room, Pins and Needles, and anxiously awaiting their third game. You get such a complete experience with the great theming and the 90 minute time limit.
Neighborhood WatcherThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLThis was our first "thriller" room, and it was great. Enough thrill suspense to keep you it in the back of your mind, but not too much that you can't focus on the tasks at hand.
Operation Arctic Storm: The Final MeltdownThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLThis was by far the best room we have ever done. The set design was great, the puzzles were challenging but not to the point of frustration. The room kept you in that groove of challenge and fun through out the entire time. The GM was phenomenal and I believe every GM there is great as we've done another room there with a different GM and he was awesome as well. They love their jobs, and with the rooms they have there I can see why. From top to bottom, start to finish, this room was fun and challenging in the best ways.
Ruins: Forbidden TreasureThe Escape Game - Berry HillEscape roomIRLWe took a vacation to Tennessee, and included Nashville in the trip so that we could do this room. It was everything I read it to be and more. As a fan of Indiana Jones growing up, this room made me felt like I was in the movies. Amazing set design and great puzzles that kept the flow going.
Bros for Life: Fraternity HeistThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLThis was a very fun room. They did a great job of packing in a variety of puzzles in each room, and each room served its part to drive the story. This was the last room for us to do at TEV’s Orlando location (until their 6th room opens) and this was probably ranks 4th out of their five rooms for me. That’s not a slight at all either. All their rooms are top notch. If you’re wondering if you should play this room, Yes, yes you should. If you’re thinking about playing a different room at TEV, the answer is YES, you should. Any room, all the rooms, you can’t go wrong.
THE ENDings [Immersive Experience]Strange Bird ImmersiveEscape roomOther This was an incredible experience. From when you walk in the door till the time you walk out, complete immersion. The interview starts to get you into the mood of the environment, and then you begin your story…or stories. This is like an adult, choose your own adventure book, but on steroids set in what seems like a boring office space. My wife and I flew from FL to do this before it closes and we are so happy with that choice. Do this before it closes! And when you get done, do it again! That’s my only regret is that I didn’t book it for multiple sessions.
The Keeper And The Fungus Among UsHeadlock Escape Rooms OnlineEscape roomVirtual This was our first virtual escape room, and it was a blast. Joel was amazing and we were smiling ear to ear and laughing the entire time. The puzzles weren’t difficult but challenging enough to make you stop and think for a minute to two. The story, flow, and cut scenes were perfect.
Rise of the FungiHeadlock Escape Rooms OnlineEscape roomVirtual This was our second virtual escape room, and we booked this just hours after finishing our first one, which was this game’s sequel. Again the puzzles, story, flow, and cut scenes were great and gave us another great experience. I hope both of these games come back in some form or fashion.
Outage: No VacancyThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLThis was our first escape room in the dark and surprisingly we did better than most rooms with the lights on! Go with a group you are comfortable with, you’ll be bumping into them often. It was a fun challenge and I’m glad we decided to take it on.
Operation Treehouse: Capture the FlagThe Escape Ventures - Winter Garden [prev. Escape Goat]Escape roomIRLThis was such a fun room to do. We did it on Escape Goat’s last day. The staff was very nice and though it is sad that Escape Goat closed down, I know Escape Ventures will take great care of their games, including this one. This is a non-linear game with some wonderful injections of humor. The theming is spot on. There were a lot of puzzles but with a solid team of 4+ you can get through it without a panic. This room was so much fun we’re coming back to do it again with some other family members.
