ExtractionThe Curium ExperienceEscape roomIRLThis was a spectacular escape room. It’s genuinely epic - book in! As it’s in a warehouse, they’re able to create a truly immersive experience on such a large scale that it really makes you feel like you’re trying to get through Area 51. The clues are artfully done, they are so immersive that they almost don’t feel like clues. But the clues’ integration into the story hasn’t compromised their quality. You can tell that this room was designed by escape room fans, for escape room fans. Michael, our game master, was great! He so generous with his time, and spent plenty of time debriefing the game with us.
Mafia: The Golden RingAdventure Rooms - Melbourne (Bourke St)Escape roomIRLI think this is my favourite ever escape room. This room was full of interesting, exciting, and novel clues. I must’ve giggled with glee several times at how fantastic some of the elements of this room were. While it is their hardest room, the clues are very logical so they are completely solvable without clues. The room’s puzzles tied into the theme perfectly. They’ve struck the perfect balance of having challenging clues that are immersive and add to the story. Everything in the rooms feels intentional and frankly, it’s just great. Lance, our game master, was an absolute delight. He made sure we went into the room in great moods and spent time chatting to us afterwards, he made the room (which was phenomenal) even better. Thanks Lance!
The Unplayed MelodyMission Escape Pitt StEscape roomIRLHighly recommend this room. It is so thoughtfully designed. The story is great, the rooms/clues are great, and there’s a huge variety in the types of puzzles you need to work out. This is one of our favourite ever rooms.
Forest of EchoesNext Level EscapeEscape roomIRLWe loved this room. It was immersive and really creative. The design of the room was fantastic, I don’t think I’ve done an escape room like it before. Our game master (Scoutmaster Emily) was fantastic, funny, and really added to the experience.
Bellamy's BootySocial Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThis was such a fun room with plenty of puzzles to solve. The rooms looked awesome and I really loved the unique storyline/theme that was carried through the entire room. The staff were awesome and you’re even given a sheet of stats at the end. What’s not to love?
Paris EscapeSocial Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLWe loved the Paris escape room. While it’s quite an easy room (and would be great for new escapers), the puzzles were engaging and a lot of fun. Social Escape Rooms has fantastic puzzle-dense rooms that have heaps to do and Paris Escape is no exception. There’s enough to do that you can divide and conquer or work through the puzzles together. For the puzzle nerds (like us), they give you an awesome data sheet that tracks your performance through the game. The team are friendly, engaged, and fun.
House of JumanjiPaniq Room SydneyEscape roomIRLThis is a really fun room! As fans of the movies, we loved this room. The design/props were great. It’d be a particularly fun one to do with kids.
Wizard's QuestEscape Hunt - SydneyEscape roomIRLI wish there was a rating scale rather than a thumbs up/down system because this room wasn’t bad. There were some fun clues and the staff were friendly. While we still had fun, it was probably one of our least favourite rooms (maybe a 5/10). - The rooms were quite small. The room is meant to hold up to 6 people but we were working over each other (as a group of 5 including 2 kids). So if you have 6 people, a different room may be better. - It was quite dark so it was hard to see everything. Which made solving clues difficult because there’s a lot of written material in small fonts. If we didn’t have a torch, we’d have struggled.
