Box One By Neil Patrick Harris
Theory11 Online
Escape room
Tabletop
I wish I could un-know what I know so that I could play this game again for the first time. It was such a thrilling experience – to find out why you will really have to play it yourself! If you can bring yourself to part with the box, then it is perfectly possible to regift this game once you have finished it. In fact, I am sure you will want to so that others can experience it for themselves (and then you can talk about it with them). I can’t stress enough how much you will appreciate keeping this experience spoiler-free, so I’d suggest getting your hands on a copy sooner rather than later! The Morrison Game Factory
PostCurious
Escape room
Tabletop
The Morrison Game Factory is a triumph. Brimming with nostalgia and bags of heart, the charming story is unexpectedly moving and ‘the feels’ linger long after the final credits. The puzzles are fun, varied and perfectly woven into the narrative. Achieving such high production value at an excellent retail price is a real credit to the team; there is no question that it is fantastic value for money. I’m excited to see what Lauren Bello dreams up next and can only hope that this isn’t her last PostCurious collaboration. I cannot recommend this game highly enough and I am labelling it a Must Play. The Curious Elevator of Mr. Hincks
Bluefish Games
Escape room
Tabletop
The Curious Elevator of Mr. Hincks is a joy to play. The clever mix of beautifully crafted physical game components and the quirky online Elevator creates a unique experience that offers bags of fun and charm. Past and current residents of Hincksville will find themselves right at home, while new residents will fall in love with the brilliant puzzles and inventive wordplay. If you haven’t already, I would highly recommend checking out The Hincksville Gazette as well- you will not be disappointed! It’s available as either a subscription or a deluxe box set including all issues. Full review available here: https://escapepuzzler.com/the-curious-elevator-of-mr-hincks-bluefish-games-review/

Riddlr Escape Room
Escape room
IRL
Great atmospheric theming, occasional jump scares (no live actors) and creepy components make for an effective horror experience. This linear room features a good variety of puzzle types, a self-service hint system and some fun surprises. It was definitely on the easier side, with our main issue being the lack of lighting at times (and one light source to share). A fun experience overall! Our host Maddie was fantastic - really welcoming, knowledgeable and attentive! We will definitely be back to play the other rooms. Worth pointing out that if you play two rooms back-to-back, you pay a special price of £30 pp which is superb value!
Save King's Landing
Puzzle Punks - Dubrovnik
Escape room
IRL
As big Game of Thrones fans we were thrilled to play an escape room in the city where some of the most iconic scenes were filmed. Precious knowledge of the series is not required, but will enhance the experience (which is set during the Battle of Blackwater in season two). The puzzles were well-designed and varied with a decent level of challenge. One of the standout puzzles involved something we hadn’t come across in an escape room before! A great experience overall 👍
Secret Treasure of Dubrovnik
Puzzle Punks - Dubrovnik
Escape room
IRL
Secret Treasure of Dubrovnik was a fun room with clever puzzles and the added bonus of learning about the history of Dubrovnik as you play. We enjoyed the variety of challenges, mechanical puzzles and attention to detail. The Game of Thrones room is also excellent!
The Medieval Mishap
History Mysteries [prev. Mini Mysteries Club]
Escape room
Tabletop
The Medieval Mishap is a stellar addition to the History Mysteries catalogue, stepping up the challenge while providing a new slice of history to explore. The lovingly crafted game components will transport you back to medieval times in an instant and you won’t want to leave. A fresh and engaging shift in gameplay breathes new life into the series, which offers a compelling adventure with fun puzzles, hilarious characters and an interactive history lesson that has no chance of putting you to sleep. While The Medieval Mishap is set within the same universe, it is completely standalone and can be played with no prior knowledge of other History Mysteries games. If you haven’t played The Egyptian Enigma, I highly recommend checking it out. I cannot wait to see what is in store next for the agents at the Ministry of Time. Sherlock Holmes - Phantom's Hour
Wolf Escape Games-Online

Sherlock Holmes: Phantom’s Hour is a masterclass in immersive cinematic storytelling. Its thrilling gameplay is heightened through breathtaking visuals, expert sound design and a rousing score. This must-play adventure perfectly captures the essence of a Sherlock story, complete with captivating twists and turns. Well-written, wonderfully acted and filled with a variety of well-themed puzzles. Every aspect of the game is impressively crafted and left me wanting more. With a dramatic conclusion that hints at more Sherlock adventures to come, Wolf Escapes literally cannot release the next game fast enough! Nautilus
Riddlr Escape Room
Escape room
IRL
A well-themed nautical room featuring a mix of technical and non-technical puzzles. Surprisingly spacious and, apart from a couple of hiccups, everything functioned well (one incorrectly reset padlock meant we managed to get out while missing a puzzle and another puzzle had faulty buttons). We got off to a very rocky start with the first puzzle, which was the product of overthinking across the team. After that, we managed to speed up mostly but lost some time on a jigsaw after taking the wrong approach. We did make it out on time, although wish we’d made it a bit quicker! Maddie was a fantastic host who encouraged us to return to try out their 80s themed room, and a new Hansel and Gretal themed room that is launching later this year! Worth pointing out that if you play two rooms back-to-back, you pay a special price of £30 pp which is superb value!
Hallows Hill
Wolf Escape Games-Online
Escape room
Virtual
Hallows Hill is a thrilling cinematic masterpiece that raises the bar for online escape room experiences. High production quality increases the immersion through striking visuals, great voice acting, meticulous sound effects and a chilling score. Paired with its gripping story and clever puzzles, this makes for a nerve-wracking 90+ minutes. This game is perfect for Halloween or a dark winter night.
