Mogollon Monster: Scouting for Arizona's BigfootThe Nemesis ClubEscape roomIRLThis was one of the most immersive rooms I have done. Everything from the lighting to the set to the sound design was top tier. Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, even going as far as opening up special for us on a Sunday. The room was challenging, even for us being rather experienced escapists. I will say that it was a
Volcano Views: Aerial ToursEscape From The 6Escape roomIRLThis is the room that finally unseated my long-time favorite room ever. The single most immersive escape room I have ever done in everything including story, set design/visuals, sounds, and puzzle theming. I also REALLY enjoyed the physical aspect of it. Overall, this is hands-down the best escape room I have done to date. All that said, this is not an accessible room for people that struggle with mobility or hearing. For mobility, there are some fairly physical aspects to the room, as well as some stairs and uneven flooring. For hearing, many of the puzzles are based on sound cues and would be very difficult, perhaps impossible, to understand without those sound cues.
Dragon RealmMile High Escape OpsEscape roomIRLFantastic decor, interesting puzzles, and truly one of the coolest conclusions to a room I have seen in quite a while.
Big Maw Bertha's Fussin' & A' Feudin' Moonshine Hill HootenannyGatlin's Escape Games - Downtown GatlinburgEscape roomIRLPleasantly surprised by this room. Was honestly not expecting much since it was in such a touristy area, but it is to this day one of my favorite rooms I have ever done. Theming is great, puzzles are fun and entertaining.
Starship: Final VoyageFive Senses Escape RoomEscape roomIRLThe atmosphere was fantastic. The game itself was highly immersive, and the post game experience is something I have never seen before, which was really cool!
The Haunting of Hyde HouseBackstage Escape GamesEscape roomIRLPuzzles made sense and were engaging. Unfortunately, I had a less than great experience because of the group I was in. However, don't let that take away from the room itself, which was a lot of fun.
Below ZeroCrypto Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLSuper immersive with a great story. Some repetitive puzzles, but overall a very fun room
Explorer StudyEscape It GrandviewEscape roomIRLLoved the theme and immersion, but there were 2 puzzles that we would have never connected the dots on without a hint. Overall, excellent room. Would not recommend for small groups or new players. Staff was amazing though!
The AlchemistSpymaker Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLI may be biased (because I proposed to my now wife in this room) but this is one of my all-time favorite rooms. The theming is incredible and the puzzles are very engaging. This room has been around for a while now, and is certainly not as automated as others I have done, but it does not feel outdated at all.
The VaultMichigan Escape GamesEscape roomIRLConcept is cool, but there were a TON of technical bugs during our game. GM had to come in 4-5 times to manually reset things, open things, etc. I'm sure we just got unlucky with the system acting up, but it's hard to separate that from my experience in the room.
