Geisterjäger Brandon Darkmoor [Ghosthunter Brandon Darkmoor]The RoomEscape roomIRLThe theming and design of this room was exceptional, however the puzzles and flow wasn’t very satisfying for us. A good portion of the beginning required players to read and follow an instruction manual which was tedious and boring. We were given big, heavy equipment at the start which we were very excited about, but we ended up using it once and very briefly. The owners tried to make this room more immersive by making the meeting and starting point at a mysterious location near a former petrol station. This was a failed attempt at doing so, because it ended up having no effect on the experience; you end up walking through the back door of the venue and through normal looking staircase/hallways to your escape room. The ending was nonsensical, the comedic and farcical nature of it ruined the scary vibe we experienced throughout the entire game.

All rooms by The Cipher Room have been excellent and exceeded expectations. The attention to detail of the intricate artistic designs are phenomenal. Not only are the game rooms immersive, the whole building complex from as soon as you enter has a distinct and mysterious atmosphere, which builds excitement. The TERPECA awards and nominations are all well deserved and are must do for all itineraries. Our personal order from best to least are: 1. Mr Pepper’s Toy Shop 2. La Rebellion 3. The Cabin 4. The Marlowe Hotel 5. Espionage

The realism was sensational and the immersion made us feel like we were living the story. Unlike in normal escape rooms in which you solve puzzles and move on, the clever integration of the puzzles within this room enhanced the realism of gameplay. It made it feel like we were on a real life adventure with spontaneous, unpredictable tasks to complete and events to confront. The implementation of live actors in this room is done extraordinarily well. Not only were they there to provide theatrics and jump scares, they are part of the game. It was a high stakes game of us against them, complete your mission or be killed. Because of its adventure style, the gameplay is dynamic and the actors responded differently depending on players’ actions. This made the game even more realistic. Be prepared to sweat and have an amazing and adrenaline pumping experience.
ExtractionThe Curium ExperienceEscape roomIRLVery high tech and interactive custom built escape room. The creators have put a lot of effort and time to create a unique and immersive experience. It is not necessary to complete all puzzles to finish the game and experiences may vary from group to group
SeanceThe Cool SpaceEscape roomIRLThe atmosphere within this room was brilliantly engineered. Despite knowing this is a mostly seated escape room, we had no idea what to expect at every stage of the game. The puzzles are all enjoyable and well suited to the theme.
The SacrificeMission Escape George StEscape roomIRLThis is a terrific room which occupies a large space which is used in a remarkable way. The immersive experience is phenomenal. The attention to detail with theming and puzzles design is fantastic.
IntrudersMission Escape George StEscape roomIRLThis was a fantastic experience. It is not a classic escape room, although you’ll still need to escape. It has simple and very few puzzles, but this is made up with a brilliant live actor experience. The atmosphere, visual and audio is exceptional. Be prepared for thrills and screams.
Mafia: The Golden RingAdventure Rooms - Melbourne (Bourke St)Escape roomIRLThis is a fantastic room. Although it was challenging, all puzzles were logical and fun to resolve. Clearly, a lot of thought has gone into the rooms design and the journey is exciting and fulfilling.
The ArtefactNext Level EscapeEscape roomIRLExcellent game master which made the experience very memorable. Lots of very interesting puzzles with unique elements.
