The DomeMama BazookaEscape roomIRLEasily the most unique room we’ve ever done - I’m glad I didn’t read more about it before going in. Some of the coolest/most WTF moments I’ve ever encountered in a room, genuinely an experience we’ll remember forever. As an absolute scaredy cat, the room was spookier than I expected at some points - don’t want to spoil anything but could be worth knowing if you’re as fragile as I am 😌 I think we would have benefited from a bit more of a backstory going in, as the room felt a bit disjointed at parts, but the actual experience was so balls to the wall that I didn’t really notice until after and I was thinking back on the room. Our GM was absolutely lovely, and the lobby area is so well stocked with games and snacks, we were sad not to have been able to stay for longer!
La RébellionThe Cipher Room St PetersEscape roomIRLLoved this room - we didn’t find it particularly difficult, but loved the use of the whole space in the puzzles, and how tactile some aspects were. Also included one of the coolest things we’ve seen in a room. Flowed well, consistent theme, lovely GM. Highly recommend!
Der Spielzeugmacher [Toy Maker]Big Break HamburgEscape roomIRLAbsolutely adored this room - the theming was incredible, the puzzles were satisfying, and the wow moments were so much fun. Just a really enjoyable experience all round, don’t think I could fault it; highly recommend!
The AlchemistSherlockedEscape roomIRLWow, wow, wow, this room was exactly the sort of thing we look for in an experience - such a beautiful space, solid + satisfying puzzles, and some incredibly moving moments throughout. Easily an all time fave! We were able to do the room as two people, and got out with time to spare. Our GM was incredibly passionate, the experience started as soon as we arrived, and the keepsakes are so special!
Birth MachineMad MachinesEscape roomIRLSuch a fun room from start to finish - big fan of how you’re in the Mad Machines experience from the second you walk through the door. Good mix of puzzles, some very unique, some very silly. Incredible theming, really enjoyable execution - not an experience we will forget anytime soon!
The Bar [La Taberna]The City Escape Room By ExperiencityEscape roomIRLHuge room with so much to do, incredible sets, and lovely, talented live actors. Solid mix of puzzles throughout, but the main draw is definitely the level of immersion in the set and with the actors. As others have mentioned, the poor sound quality in the final room sours the ending quite a bit, and made some final puzzles a little frustrating, but overall the experience is so unique, and at two hours you really feel like you get your monies worth.
The Golden PhoenixMiraculumEscape roomIRLImmersive from the second you walk in - really thorough theming and some really lovely moments/pieces in the room. Some puzzles didn’t quite hit the mark for us, but it was still a super fun time - our GM was incredible which definitely added to the experience :)
The Murder of Max Sinclair [prev. Case Closed]Case Closed EdinburghEscape roomIRLSuper ambient murder mystery room, with solid puzzles and a thorough story. Host Ronan was absolutely excellent, and the final moment was some of the most fun we’ve ever had in an escape room. So easy to tell this is a room made with love!! 🚢
