As much as the AI knew what step we were at, they didn’t know how to push us in the right direction without giving the answer right away. Since the AI adapts to the team, and we took particularly long with the first step, I think it registered that we were struggling, so defaulted to the “easy mode” for the rest of the game. Things like this are why, for now, a real game master giving clues is the best way to run an escape room.
