Masters of MagicGatlin's Escape Games - Pigeon ForgeEscape roomIRLWe did four rooms while visiting the area and this was our favorite! The theme, design, and experience are out of this world. There were a few moments where we were genuinely in awe at the experience. You will have fun with this one!
The Body ShopRed Fox EscapesEscape roomIRLHighly recommend! The awards and other positive reviews are well earned. Book the room and go! Our husband/wife team of 2 took on this room today and it really is something to experience. The owner/GM led us to the room and it really is an immersive site to behold. There is an above average amount of puzzles in this room, and especially for just 2 of us, it was quite a challenge. All the puzzles were fun and fair, and that alone makes it a must try, but the story is equally fun and immersive to experience. We escaped with just 10 seconds left. Highly recommend!
Curse Of The Kraken’s EyeGatlin's Escape Games - Pigeon ForgeEscape roomIRLThe theme and design of this room was top notch. We wanted to enjoy this room a lot more, but some of the puzzles left us unclear as to what to do and/or why certain solutions were considered not correct and our GM went silent on us at times so there were some frustrating moments. That said, the room was still fun and you could do a lot worse. We especially liked the 2 puzzles that required teamwork and skillful dexterity to complete.
Doomsday Disaster: Bunker Tested, Apocalypse AppovedMystery Soup Escape Rooms [prev. Lock & Clue Escape Rooms]Escape roomIRLOur husband/wife team of two experienced this room today and we really enjoyed it. It has a different feel than most escape rooms because in this case you are trying to escape the world to get into the room, usually it's the opposite! Curt was our GM, he had a great knack of nudging us when we needed it, but not overdoing it with the hints. The theme and environment was perfect, highly recommend.
The Cellar: Dead End [prev. The Cellar II: Saul's Revenge]Mystery Soup Escape Rooms [prev. Lock & Clue Escape Rooms]Escape roomIRLMy son and I took on this room today and it was an absolute blast. The atmosphere is this room is perfectly done. We both got spooked a couple times within the opening minutes and it set the tone for solving the puzzles while not really knowing exactly what to expect going forward. Our GM played the role perfectly and really added to the experience, every nudge and time update was done in character. There was a lot to do in this room for sure - with just two it was a challenge but we managed to make it out with 3 minutes to spare. Highly recommend!
Big Maw Bertha's Fussin' & A' Feudin' Moonshine Hill HootenannyGatlin's Escape Games - Downtown GatlinburgEscape roomIRLThis escape room was a lot of fun and a great break from super-serious themes in favor of a fun and comedic environment. Destiny was our GM and played her part very well, the jokes and call outs were my favorite part of the room. We were matched with another couple for this room, it should be known that these are not private rooms. Our teammates did not distract from the experience but 4 people is a lot for this room - probably 2 or 3 is the best amount. Overall, with the theme and puzzles this room gets high marks.
The HeistRed Fox EscapesEscape roomIRLOur team of six tackled this room and it was a total blast. One even enjoyed this so much he announced it was his favorite room that he's been to. The immersion is great - it added a lot to the feeling of fun. But by far the best part of this room was its non-linear playstyle. We naturally broke into our own groups and tackled different puzzles at the same time, and had a great time discussing the different puzzles on the way home. Highly recommend!
Prison BreakThe Escape Game - DedhamEscape roomIRLFun room, agree with the idea that this is the most difficult room out of the 5 in play. Our team of 4 almost made it out, missed it by a couple puzzles. (We did a poor job in recognizing some of the clues.) That said, the room was fun and themed well. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the rooms at this location!
The Sorcerer's CurseMystery Soup Escape Rooms [prev. Lock & Clue Escape Rooms]Escape roomIRLThis escape room deserves high praise for the set design and atmosphere, as well as the presentation of the puzzles. Our team of 4 was impressed with the experience itself and how the room unfolded. It did not go unnoticed that a world of sorcery would not use Master locks and the number of puzzled solved with magic was really fun. While I can imagine a few of the puzzles could give groups quite the challenge, we brought our A-game today and escaped quickly - our first room without a hint!
The Blind Pig SpeakeasyGranite State EscapeEscape roomIRLTook on this room with my wife and two college-age sons. Everyone really enjoyed the room, it flowed well, all the puzzles seemed fair and intuitive, we had a blast as we worked through the story and escaped. Most of the talk on the way home was about some of the clever puzzles and how much we all enjoyed that there were multiple things to work on so we weren't all crammed into one linear puzzle at a time. As a semi-experienced team of four, we made very quick work of the content (rare for us) so a large group of experienced players might not be a great fit for this room.
