Hope EndThe Ministry Of PeculiaritiesEscape roomIRLThis room is incredibly fun. I'm usually more into doing rooms with only one or two other people, but this room is a lot more about the story, theatrics, and interactions with the live actors and employees than it is about the puzzles, so bringing a lot of people you have fun with makes this room really enjoyable. I think this room is a lot more fun if you don't know anything going into it, but I will say that the experience starts the moment you step into the building and doesn't end until the moment you leave. The employees are in character to an extent I haven't seen at other escape rooms, and interactions with them are super fun if you get into them! The only downside is that, compared to the theatrics of the rest of the room, the ending is super underwhelming. There are multiple possible endings, though, so this could be unique to the one my group got, I can't be sure. Overall, this is a totally unique room and I would 100% recommend. Don't be afraid to get into it and interact with the story and the employees!
The Weeping WitchCross Roads Escape GamesEscape roomIRLThis room was really fun (and intense!) The live actor enocunters were super effective and scary. Definitely the loudest I've screamed in a while. The story was pretty well integrated throughout and the puzzles worked well with it! The hint system was really unique and definitely made the experience more fun for me. Shoutout to Ben for being the best GM my partner and I have ever had!

The Bridge BetweenQuest TavernEscape roomIRLThis room is really fun! I really enjoyed the difficulty and non-linearity of the room. There were lots of really cool and unique moments in the room (even after you've finished and are leaving the room!) The hint system is also pretty unique. I definitely would reccomend this room, especially to those who want a more difficult room that is not scary or horror-themed at all.
HeadcaseBreaking Point Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThis was the second room I ever played, and it is still my favorite. There are some really awesome moments and unique puzzles. I think the difficulty is just hard enough for it to be challenging and satisfying at the end, but not too difficult that it is frustrating. I also think the theming and story is really well done! A good level of scariness for someone who doesn't mind a mildly scary/spooky room, but maybe isn't ready for the more intense horror rooms or rooms with live actors (I was definitely in the same boat, and I still am not into the over-the-top scary rooms!). I would 100% recommend. I absolutely love this room.
Heart Of Bastet [prev. Red Giant]Lara’s Labyrinth - San Diego [prev. Quest Room]Escape roomIRLThis room had some very unique mechanics and was overall very fun. I would definitely recommend it! While you can kind of tell that Lara's Labrynth doesn't have the highest budget (both rooms I've done here have had a broken puzzle), I still think the rooms are worth it, especially since these escape rooms comparatively cheap.
The StudyTHE BASEMENT: A Live Escape Room Experience - SylmarEscape roomIRLThis room, and the basement series in general, are all really good and I had a lot of fun with them! This room had some really unique moments and cool interactions with the love actor. That being said, this is probably my least favorite of the four rooms in this series. I did all of them with my partner, and this was the only one we didn't complete on time. We got stuck on one of the very last puzzles, but after time had expired, the game master and live actor told us it seemed like we had solved it correctly and they weren't really sure why it wasn't triggering what it was supposed to. In this room, you can't ask for hints, and after a certain point, they stop giving you any, so we weren't given any help or guidence, depsite having solved the puzzle correctly. I'm not sure if the puzzle was broken or if it was just really finicky, but either way, it was an incredibly frustrating way to lose the room. I would still recommend this room, but just something to keep in mind.
Sister's SecretThe Unlockables - San DiegoEscape roomIRLI loved this room! It was one of the most satisfyingly nonlinear rooms I've ever played. I did this room with my partner, and we worked separatley almost the entire time. It was super fun to debreif the room afterward because there was so much that one of us did that the other didn't get to see. The puzzles were a very appropraite level of difficulty. Just hard enough to be challenging and satisfying, but not difficult enough to be frustrating. Also, the room is supposed to be a little spooky (its paranormal investigation themed) but they named all the people in the story after Hamilton characters, so I couldn't take it seriously, haha. Super fun and interesting room overall, and I would 100% recommend.
The Curse Of KV62Locked AdventuresEscape roomIRLI took my family to this room for their first escape room experience and they had a great time! I think it's an appropriate difficulty for beginners, however, it is really short. There were six of us and I was the only one who had done a room before. We finished in just over 30 minutes (it's a 60 minute room). I think the difficulty was fine, but the room definitely could have benfited from one or two additional puzzles. (So I would say don't bring more than 4 people. No more than 2, maybe 3, if you are experienced). That being said, this room is a lot of fun! The theming and atmosphere are great, and there are definitely some unique mechanics! Definitely left my family wanting more escape room experiences. Also, the people working there are super nice.
Deja VuEscape EraEscape roomIRLThis room was pretty fun! Not overly difficult (we finished with almost half the time left), but the premise was interesting and most of the rooms were pretty cool. The only thing tht kind of sucked is that there are multiple difficulty options. My partner and I booked the more difficult one, but the company messed up and gave us the regular one. I don't think they realized their mistake. Overall, would recommend, still! If you're more advanced, I would recommend doing it with just one, maybe two other people max.
