FrankensteinMiraculumEscape roomIRLThis room left us speechless, that's how good it is. The welcome/briefing is in character, and that puts you in the middle of the story immediately. The set design is phenomenal, in its use of lighting and smells. Special shout out to our host that did a magnificent job!
De Conciërge [The Concierge]Hotel Veloria [prev. Kamer 237]Escape roomIRLThis adventure is very original, but once again at Hotel Veloria they have managed to create a story that perfectly fits their hotel. It was surprising from start to finish and we had a blast uncovering the story of the concierge. To my feeling, this room is perfectly balanced for 2 players. It does help if you have played escape rooms together before.
Go WestThe RoomEscape roomIRLThe story is simple, yet effective: reach West Berlin before you're caught! The strength of this room is its décor and the ambiance it creates: you really feel back in the times of East and West Berlin. The way of giving hints is very interesting in this room, and only puts you more into the theme.
Kamer 237 [Room 237]Hotel Veloria [prev. Kamer 237]Escape roomIRLThis is a very surprising escape room, especially since it's been around for a while. The decor is, as in the two other rooms they have, very well done and you don't have the feeling other people have been here before you. If I should be critical on one point, it's that the last puzzle felt a bit underwhelming and got me a bit frustrated, but that is also due to me not being good at searching.
Beast Of BerlinThe RoomEscape roomIRLA very good escape room where the ambience makes you feel like you're not alone in the room. It is not very scary, but you might be on edge during a good part of the game. The décor was once again sublime, and the riddles were very fun and fitting in the theme.
Brandon Darkmoor Geisterjäger: Der Fall des Afrikanischen GötzenSalzufler UnterweltEscape roomIRLThis room has an amazing atmosphere and creates the illusion you are not alone in the room (are you?). I've never seen a hint system like they use, and it made us laugh a lot. This is a must-do escape room if you're in the area!
Die Werkstatt Des Alchemisten [The Alchemist's Workshop]Salzufler UnterweltEscape roomIRLEven though this has all the charm we recognize from Salzufler Unterwelt, this room doesn't live up to the current standard of escape rooms and has in my opinion reached the end of its time.
