Cutthroat Cavern13th Gate EscapeEscape roomIRLDo NOT do this room with only four players! Four was not enough for even our extremely experienced group and I ended up losing my 100th room 😂. Ideal for 6-8 I would say so you can really spread out and not miss anything. That said, the set design was unbelievable, almost like doing an escape room AT a Disney ride. Just incredible. Get a large group and go!
The Body ShopRed Fox EscapesEscape roomIRLOne of the best escape rooms I’ve ever done! Not only were the clues inventive and unique, but there’s an actual story that’s incredibly clever and fun. High recommend!
The Steampunk ExpressThe Imaginarium: Playground for the Creative MindEscape roomIRLJust wanted to say this room is HARD like you’re gonna need more than four people. As soon as you open up the second room it’s like all hands on deck, 4 didn’t feel like enough. We had to ask for a bunch of hints even though we are extremely experienced but WOW was it satisfying to solve one without a hint cause yall holy moly was this room difficult. I generally don’t like mechanical rooms but at least appreciated the milieu as well as a fun thing you get to do at the end
The UnknownEscape Games CanadaEscape roomIRLOne of my favorite escape rooms of all time - so sad to see it’s closed!
Escape From The Time Travel LabSCRAPEscape roomIRLAbsolutely love this game. Mechanics I still have yet to see anywhere else 100 rooms later. Wish it were still open so I could go again and watch friends play!
Vampire Hunter RoomClue Carré - New OrleansEscape roomIRLSimple lock based room, but fun! Would recommend no more than 4-5 people so it isn’t too crowded.
The Dreams4 Dreams Escape Game - AustinEscape roomIRLI hate to disparage any small business but need to write a review to warn away the aficionados out there. I think for people who don’t really do escape rooms, this is pretty hard, but they’ll get a kick out of it. For anyone who loves escape rooms though, I’m so sorry, you will be very disappointed. I don’t really understand the format of 20 min per room, and the story doesn’t really make sense, like one letter is supposed to tie it all together but it’s kind of nonsense? And the second room is i think exactly the same pieces and puzzles as a 60out room in Los Angeles and I don’t even know what to make of that. The biggest issues here are: - Way too many sound based puzzles / sound cues all at once. The cacophony makes thinking even harder. - The puzzles aren’t intuitive, not how to solve them or often even how to start. The one and done rule is sort of true except for when it isn’t, and you can’t break logic like that unless it’s done purposefully and cleverly in service of the story. - One of the puzzles in the last room was solved but didn’t react so our group kept trying to solve it when it had long ago been solved - There is no in-story clue mechanism, it’s just the GM coming into the room and telling you how to solve something, but only after you miraculously get his attention We are all big escape room people and absolutely hated this I’m so sorry 😔
