Ghost PatrolTrivium GamesEscape roomIRLOne of the best escape rooms i’ve ever done and my favorite in all of the Bay Area, and yes, that includes Palace Games. The immersion in this game is so good. Everything is custom made from the puzzles and decor to the special prop you are given, that is the source of so many interesting and unique puzzles. The puzzles are actually quite challenging. The custom soundtrack is sooo good. If you are coming to SF, make this your #1 priority!
The StorykeeperLocurioEscape roomIRLThis escape room (and Locurio for that matter) makes Seattle a must visit for any enthusiast. The immersion is cranked up to an 11, from the actor, the detailed sets and unique hint system. You really do feel like you’ve been transported into the pages of a book!
漆黒の悟り [Shadow Zen]Studio Escape Daikoku-choEscape roomIRLA must play for any escape room enthusiasts visiting Osaka! This experience will scratch your itch if you are looking for a game themed to the Land of the Rising Sun during your Japan vacation. Studio Escape has crafted a uniquely cinematic escape experience. I loved how they tied the history of the surrounding area into the experience. Once through the front door, you feel as though you have stepped onto the same city streets you were just exploring but 100 years ago. The customer service is top notch and you can tell the owners have put a lot of pride and care into this experience. Bonus points for being able to enjoy a beverage in the room afterwards. Pro-tip: ask to see the book they created documenting their build process for this room.
Operation Arctic Storm: The Final MeltdownThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLOne of the coolest games in Orlando! Perhaps the most physical game I’ve played in the US. The puzzles are fantastic and fit the polar station theme well. The props and sets along with some acting from the GM make this room feel extremely immersive. Has every effect you would expect with a snow themed room. This is a 90 minute room and that duration is definitely deserved. Enthusiasts keep groups small…three is a perfect number. We felt we were tripping onto of each other in certain parts with four. A must book if you are coming out to Orlando!
40 ThievesMindTrap Escape Room - TemeculaEscape roomIRLThere are no words! Just brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before. Thank you for making this brilliant game! 😍
UndercookedOmescape - SunnyvaleEscape roomIRLI would award this game three Michelin stars if I could! Super unique and fantastic game inspired by a similarly named video game. Doesn’t work exactly like the game, but rather adapted for the escape room format with an extremely open puzzle flow with the goal of earning money by completing puzzles to unlock recipes. There is a bit of a learning curve at the beginning, but easy to understand once we got started. It gets hectic running around the beautifully designed kitchen set looking for ingredients to complete you recipe. 3-4 enthusiasts would be the sweet spot. Our duo completed 19 of the 26 available puzzles!
Mogollon Monster: Scouting for Arizona's BigfootThe Nemesis ClubEscape roomIRLOMG! I played this back in September 2021, and I still think about it to this day. This has to be my favorite escape room of all time. I don’t want to spoil anything, so just book it right now. The tech is insane, the theming is Disneyland/Universal quality, the puzzles are fun and make sense with the story. Enthusiasts make a trip to Phoenix just for The Nemesis Club.
Heresy: 1897 [Immersive Theatre]Doors Of DivergenceEscape roomIRLA fantastic blend of immersive theater, choose your own adventure and escape room. Probably one of the most ambitious companies I have ever had the pleasure of visiting and I am sad I might not have the chance to visit the Paradox Bar again in the future. This company has really thought of everything. The way that the standard escape room rules are delivered is so clever, I didn’t even realize that was happening until about halfway through the process, and it left me with such a grin. A must play in the New York City market!
Treasure IslandBrain Games Escape RoomEscape roomIRLOverall, just fantastic in every category from the theme to the puzzles to the decor. Puzzle lovers rejoice because this one is full of them. There are some remnants and puzzles from the predecessor Tiki Time at 60Out, but make no mistake, there is plenty of brand new content here to enjoy. As a bonus, there are so many references to nautical pop culture to appreciate around the room. This is a must play in the LA market along with the other rooms at Brain Games!
The Last SupperQuest TavernEscape roomIRLActor led experience and extremely unique gameplay. Can be a very suspenseful but also hilarious as the actor does a great job improving with your group. Bring outgoing people for the most fun!
