Sweethearts Ice Cream ParlourThe Cool SpaceEscape roomIRLThe Cool Space is up there with Next Level, Cipher, and Social Escape—storyline, puzzle design and number of puzzles, gameplay, and some special customer service all made our first experience here live up to its name. Highly recommend!! Daniel was a wonderful GM and was highly knowledgeable on the development of the room and its completion data.
The ArtefactNext Level EscapeEscape roomIRLIdeal room if team work/communication is what you’re looking for. Meaghan was our GM and gave us a stellar experience- she never disappoints with the theatrics and maintaining mood throughout. The puzzles were very clever and the storyline was linear and clear. Sci-fi and adventure nerds will love the references throughout- this room paid homage to a lot of classics. Great GMs know how to spot and tap into a group’s dynamics and Meaghan accomplished that in spades. One of our trio’s all time favourites.
The CabinThe Cipher Room NewtownEscape roomIRLWe completed our first room at Cipher and Liam was a very gracious GM—- you can always tell when the person running your game is a certified escape room fan! The atmosphere was sensational- eerie but not gory. No jump scares. It really engaged the full range of senses and had a great narrative with no plot holes. Very clever! We’ll be back to complete all rooms on offer based on our experience.
Ex LibrisNext Level EscapeEscape roomIRLThis was our trio’s first experience at Next Level and it was sensational. Kent was our GM and I would 100% recommend requesting him- he played the role of the narrator masterfully and really matched our group’s silliness/nerdiness and dynamic. The gameplay was phenomenal and the rooms were STUNNING. A masterpiece from start to finish.

TrappedMission Escape George StEscape roomIRLTrapped was one of those Mission rooms where you get immersed in the everyday authentic environment. Thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay.
Paris EscapeSocial Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLLOVE Social Escape- this was a fun, linear, well-designed room. We’re an experienced team of three and did this for a birthday on a Friday night. We adore this provider and will be back to complete our final in-person room—very curious about their take-home puzzle.
The Wizard's ChamberEscape ThisEscape roomIRLThis room was like something out of King’s Quest. Our group’s favourite offering from Escape This so far. Like Pirates, we had some issues with lighting (we needed more of it for some parts in particular without spoiling) but overall, it’s going to be a really beloved room for us for a long time.
CannibalEscape ThisEscape roomIRLOur group has played a few rooms at this venue. While we understand that low light contributes to ambience and immersion, it becomes problematic when some degree of light is needed to locate items in the room to solve a puzzle. This could be solved with torches if they want to maintain the look and feel. At one point we ended up in the second space and were there for a few minutes in the dark before our GM intervened to reset because we weren’t meant to be there yet (he said we triggered the emergency button, we didn’t think we had but okay) Our biggest issue was that there was a point where a writing implement was meant to be discovered to solve the next puzzle. We knew the method but discounted it because of the absence of a writing implement. When we asked the GM at the end, he searched the place it was meant to be, confirmed it wasn’t there, said “sorry” and moved on. We weren’t offered anything beyond that- surely in a situation where the room is not completely set up there would be a system of refund/credit/voucher/recompense. We love escape rooms and this one is local to us, but we are second guessing patronage based on this
