Servants of SleightThe Exit Games FLEscape roomIRLI want to start by thanking our GM for being so kind to us. I have autism and I was having a hard time focusing on the rules and guidelines, and our GM went out of his way to speak calmly, softly, and slow enough for me to be able to grasp it while I played with my fidget toy for anxiety. He was extremely accommodating and was not offended by the lack of eye contact. This kind of courtesy is super hard to find nowadays, so my husband and I really appreciated his kindness. The game itself was wonderful! I think I spoiled myself by playing Pins & Needles first, but I still absolutely loved this game. The puzzles were unique and challenging, and the type of puzzles varied so you never got bored of just doing number, code, or key locks. Our GM made the game super fun, and even a bit creepy! We had a blast with this game. BOTH of this businesses games are the BEST in the escape room game right now.
Pins & Needles Tattoo ParlorThe Exit Games FLEscape roomIRLI CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS ROOM! But I’ll keep it short. This is the first room I played from them… and damn, was I absolutely spoiled. My standards will forever be Pins & Needles high. This is the best escape room I have EVER played. Our GM, Kyle, was AMAZING! Request him! It was totally unique, creative, and SPOOKY! I would do ANYTHING to play this again for the first time!
EXTERMINATED: Terror at the JunkyardEvasive Escape Rooms [prev. Escape Rooms Unlocked - Sarasota]Escape roomIRLYes, yes, yes! Do this room! This is terrifyingly-fun. The jump scares are tasteful, but keep you on your feet the entire time. I’ve played loads of scary games and some of them are overkill with the live-actor parts, to the point the game is unplayable, however, THIS was completely perfect in every frightening way!
Neighborhood WatcherThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLWOW! Let me start by saying, the set for this game was PHENOMENAL! One of the best Ive encountered so far. You can tell a lot of thought went into it. The actual puzzles flowed extremely well; there were no holes in the story. Each step could be figured out on your own, with a good amount of thought and consideration. We needed very little help, but it was still challenging enough to be enjoyable. It had a slight creepy factor, but I definitely would not consider it “scary”. We really enjoyed our time playing this game.
Phantom Files: The Investigation Of Lockturne ManorThe Escape Ventures - Port CharlotteEscape roomIRLTHIS ROOM IS AMAZING! One of my new favorites! I can’t say enough positive things about this room. The atmosphere of the entire room was spooky, the host was amazing, and the room was super interactive. YES, there was a lot of locks and stuff BUT it was worth it for the interactive fun. This experience was a 10/10.
Crazy Train: The Ballad of Skeemin' PlotzDoldrick's Escape RoomEscape roomIRLI loved this new room! We’re only a team of two, my husband and I, as I have autism, and doing a room that needs too many people or is too big OR too small makes me very upset/anxious. I was able to really enjoy myself here because it was JUST big enough that we could be comfortable, but small enough that it felt like a real train! The puzzles were cohesive and flowed very well; we needed VERY little help. Great mix of physical puzzles and tech!
Click 'N Glitch Arcade PalaceThe Escape Ventures - Port CharlotteEscape roomIRLANOTHER AMAZING ROOM! TEV has taken another spot on my top 10 list! There is such a fun element to this game with the security guard, no spoilers, but it’s very immersive and creative! There’s so many nods to their other rooms in different locations. Special shout-out to their staff member, KYLON, who DREW ALL THE GRAPHICS for the arcade games AND DID AN ANIMATION for the room ( that I won’t give away ). SO TALENTED! He’s also an amazing GM; the rest of the staff, including management, is so kind. We will be back for the 3rd room, again!
Cinema 7Will To Escape - OrlandoEscape roomIRLNew favorite room alert! 🚨 Don’t wait to play this room - PLAY IT NOW! The atmosphere was literally amazing. Looked and felt just like a small movie theatre. The gameplay was immersive and the puzzles were creative and interactive. It was just hard enough that we couldn’t solve things first go, but we never had to ask for help/hints. This room is amazing.
Bros for Life: Fraternity HeistThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLThis room is fine — TEV 100% has stronger, well-done, more fun/interesting rooms. I was particularly angry with one puzzle, yet the rest were easy to understand with a little brain power. The set was very cute. Our GM mentioned an “extra puzzle”/“extra lock” that we could skip, which made us hesitant of almost everything. You NEEDED all the puzzles/locks, there was definitely not one to skip. This bit of info made us waste a little bit of time trying to decipher if it was one we needed or not.
Disappearance: Last LocationWill To Escape - OrlandoEscape roomIRLThis room is FUN! Some puzzles left our group a little frustrated, and were a bit hard to understand. We also had a hard time contacting our GM when we needed help. I don’t think it was because she wasn’t paying attention, I don’t think she could hear us. There a wooden floor that squeaks (I assume on purpose) and it is VERY loud and VERY annoying. We were getting frustrated with the constant noise. I’m autistic and I was finding myself getting overstimulated from the constant creaking. However, the actual gameplay was very fun and I really recommend to play this room for a good spook without going overboard scary!
