The Starlight MotelEscape Artist Greenville - DowntownEscape roomIRLThis room is a must if you’re in the area. It flows very well and it was super immersive. It’s got a scary factor to it but it’s also quite comedic depending on how you look at things.
Dark LullabyEscape Artist Greenville - Hampton StationEscape roomIRLThis is one of my favorite rooms out of almost 50 done so far. And this locations other room is probably #2. I don’t know if they even keep track of time but the room is definitely geared for an experience more than a challenge. And it’s got all the cool extra things escape rooms may not offer. It’s very immersive, consistent story tied to other games in the company, really top notch theme and environment, and live actors. The flow of the room is great and the puzzles difficulty is good for new players or experienced.
WreckedMasterpiece EscapesEscape roomIRLWrecked was our first game at masterpiece and it didn’t disappoint. It was immersive, definitely had us on edge in a good way and the puzzles were cool. There was a twist in the room we didn’t see coming that really topped it off.
NevermoreNocturne AdventuresEscape roomIRLThis game was very immersive and great for all players from beginner to experienced. The owners are very attentive and the game itself had a great flow. It’s a bit on the spooky side but not really scary. It really helps you feel like you’re in the story. I’m a very casual poe fan but there were plenty of Easter eggs that went over my head the I noticed after the fact. This room had some really cool puzzles and everything functioned really well. And if you are going to do both games here, I’d start with this one. If you only do one game here, either is good, but you’ll be back for the other. It’s definitely an experience driven game and it shows during the game
Castle FlüffendorEscape Artist Greenville - Hampton StationEscape roomIRLThis was a good room, but in comparison to the other rooms at this location it felt a little underwhelming. The other 2 are a little intense at times and this one is far more family friendly which is great. But I think we still missed out on some of the immersive feeling. There were a lot of interactions with things that seemed a little too automated. And the set is actually really nicely done so I’m actually surprised about the lack of immersion. The room definitely does have some cool surprises but for us it was just good, not great.
RipperNocturne AdventuresEscape roomIRLThis was room 53 for me. We’ve done scary rooms and this was my favorite. I love rooms that have live actors to start with. And this one would simply not be the same without it. The owners are super attentive and clearly take pride in making this a great experience. Both of their rooms are very immersive but this one is really intense. The puzzles are not super complicated and there is a good flow, but with the intensity of the room it works so well. We did the R super scary and we aren’t particularly scared fans but I can’t imagine doing the not scary version. Definitely worth diving in with both feet for the experience. I would suggest doing nevermore first if you do both. If you only do one room you can’t go wrong either way but you’ll be back for the second one
Tomb RaidersLock, Clock, and Peril Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLAll the games at lock, clock, and peril are really cool. Each room stands out in its own but this one may be my favorite. It’s a homegrown place that really takes the time to get environment, experience, and puzzles right. But this room in particular had the coolest discoveries and tricks. I’d highly recommend this location and this room.
A Not So Fairytale EndingLock, Clock, and Peril Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThis room was great! We would do any new room this location offers after doing the first 4 but the 75 minute experience still caught our attention. And it did not disappoint. The immersion started the second you walk in the room and the theme was thought through very well. It was full of puzzles which is my cup of tea. And they made sense to us. Id recommend this room to a newbie or enthusiast but there is a lot here to appreciate as an enthusiast. It’s hard not to give anything away but just know if you are near Columbia SC and wanted to do just 1 room, this one is probably the one Id recommend
MissingMasterpiece EscapesEscape roomIRLMissing was our second room at masterpiece and we had a better feel for their flow so we got out fairly quick but it was still a fun room. I really liked the theme and atmosphere of this one, definitely creepy.
Spellbound CastleCoastal Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLWe got to do 2 rooms while we were on a work trip. We got to meet TJ, one of the owners, and he was a great game master on top of his clear passion for making rooms the best he can and it shows. This room was smaller than some but they utilize the space they have very well in the 2 we tried. Theme is immersive, the puzzles are fun and not too difficult but after doing 50 rooms, I was impressed that they were clever puzzles you dont always see. Costal is definitely an escape room place I would suggest in the Myrtle beach area. This room in particular had some really cool gadgets that were fun and they matched the theme well. I was really impressed with the immersive feeling in the is room
