The Wonderful Wizard of Oz
13th Hour Escape Room - Wharton
Escape room
IRL
An awesome room with a very unique element in it. The set design is really well done and the room loosely follows the plot of the Wizard of Oz story. It’s a very linear room but the puzzles flow very well. Was never really any confusion on what we had to work on next.

An amazing room. Large and challenging. Really good set design and puzzles. Would definitely recommend playing with a larger group, at least a minimum of 6. My group was a team of 6 fairly experienced GMs and we won with under a minute left and using 3 clues.

The Escape Game - King of Prussia

As a 90s kid, this is one of my favorite rooms I’ve done. Awesome appearance, looks like it came from the show. Good story and premise to tie the room together. Lots of puzzles so puzzles so works well for medium to larger size groups, would say 6 to 8 is best size. I haven’t played the Playground room that this is like an overlay of, so I can’t compare it to that.
The Dungeon
13th Hour Escape Room - Wharton

A really good room made even better with the live actors. The room and puzzles flowed very well so I never really felt lost on what to do next. It was normally pretty clear what was the next thing to work on.

A really cool and well themed futuristic/dystopian room. Had some unique puzzles and challenges that I really enjoyed. It is a 6 player room max that I played with 6 players. It didn’t feel too crowded in there and felt like most of the room everyone was pretty actively involved without much standing around and doing nothing.

An extremely well done room for their very first escape room. Felt like it was very balanced difficulty wise. Love how the story of the room has a tie in to the actual history of the area in Easton. We got to speak with the one owner Erin. She was a blast to talk to and the passion for doing this really shows.

They aren’t wrong when they say it’s their hardest/most challenging room. While none of the puzzles were extremely difficult there were just a lot of them. You really need to divide and conquer to successfully complete this room. So just be prepared if playing with a smaller and/or less experienced group. Still highly recommend as it is a good room.
The Cookhouse
13th Hour Escape Room - Wharton

Another really good room from 13th hour. It is on the smaller and easier side. Played with 6 experienced players. Felt a little cramped at times and managed to escape in a little under 40 minutes. We played when their haunted house was open for Valentine’s Day so they had live actor GMs in the escape room. It makes the experience pretty unique and such fun. They will occasionally come in and give you nudges/hints in character, so might not be for people who like to play without getting help.
Revenge Of The Serial Killer
Bates Motel Escape Rooms

Great set design, some cool puzzles, and a fun ending. There was no timer in the room and the guide didn’t seem to know what our time was either when we got out. Their rooms are public bookings with the option to make them private.

A cute and fun smaller room. Done with 2 players using 2 hints and about 14 minutes left. I think 3 or 4 players max would be best group size, depending on experience. Also probably a good room for younger kids who might be interested in escape rooms.
