“This was a very cool room with really creative puzzles. My team of 3 had a really good time getting through the room. Lots to do. Solved with seconds to spare. Our GM Becca was hilarious and really set the tone for us from the start and made this whole experience absolutely fun for us. Look forward to doing more 60out rooms”

“I easily rate this room a 5/5 (ck out my bio for rating system). First off, best GM ever! Alex was welcoming, friendly and very enthusiastic about the rooms which made us all the more excited to begin. But not before we discovered a treasure in the bathroom! And in the lobby! Great warm-up for our room. The set and theme were wonderfully executed. The 'wow' moments were plenty. Solid puzzles including a couple we hadn't seen before. I enjoyed every minute of this room, so much so that we begged for a second one after we were done!”

“Great game. Very immersive. The set design was excelent throughout and the puzzles were challenging and somw were fairly difficult, while also making sense for the story. Would say it shouldn't be one of the first rooms you ever try, but an excelent choice for those who have some escape room experience, or are escape room vets. Big shout out to PJ for being a great host.”

“The set design on this room was great! Most of the puzzles were pretty fun with some surprising moments thrown in as you spend time exploring and discovering. There was one particular puzzle that’s honestly just annoying to do and takes too much time but otherwise this room was pretty great and had a unique design. I would def recommend!”

“Wow, what an incredible experience. The hype lives up to it! Fully immersed right as you step in and the story was awesome. Lots of crawling and running, very twisty and you get turned around easily. I've had a few rooms with actors now but this by far was the best! Our GMs were awesome! I've done a few guestroom now and they have all been great. If you're a horror room fan you should have this one on your list.”

“Very immersive and excellent use of the theme, loved the tie in with characters, and environment was neat to complete puzzles in. Did not care for the game master having to announce the time every 15 minutes- a clock or more blended way to have time awareness would have been better. Only critique though”

“I enjoyed this room with 2 other people. We felt it was enough for us as we are all pretty experienced. I liked that it was a 75 minute room which meant there was a lot things that needed to get done. We mostly worked as a team with a few moments that we needed to divide and conquer. A solid room for my taste. Our GMs were fantastic hosts for us. Definitely coming back to do the other rooms here.”

“Great room. Staff was friendly and they had parking on site. The room was imersive and I would say the puzzles were moderately difficult for experienced players. If you're newer it may be more difficult as there are not always clear instructions regarding how to solve puzzles”

“We made it out!! Freedom at last!!!! This was our favorite prison break room so far. Definitely better if you do it with 2-4 people at most. Super fun immersive experience. Has some fun surprises during the experience. Highly recommend for everyone to do. GM was great in giving us a couple of nudges along the way to make sure we made it out and got the full experience. Can’t wait to try the other Rooms here.”

“Stash House exceeded my expectations. I’ve had my eye on this room since pre-COVID and I finally had the opportunity to play it. Its location was a bit inconspicuous and it played its part in the storyline, especially at night. The hint system worked perfectly for the theme. It never felt like an actual hint. The puzzles were fun, well thought out, and very direct. There some fun surprises as well! Pham was our host and he was awesome. It’s always great talking about escape rooms with other ER fanatics.”

“This was just plain FUN. I was laughing the whole time at the comedy of it all; it’s not corny it’s like the clever type of humor adults will get a kick out of. The puzzles were interesting and had some really fun elements that left me wanting more. The story is funny and the production was so fun and engaging. I really loved this!”

Unless you’ve visited Hollywood before, it can be hard to describe. It’s sunny, it’s wealthy, it’s full of diverse cultures, and at any given time you might see a famous person at Whole Foods. As you tour the many wonders of this desert dreamland, be sure to keep an eye out for Paramount Studios, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and treat yourself to an In-N-Out Burger (animal style). Aside from these attractions, Hollywood is also alive with some of the most unique and immersive escape rooms in the country. It’s no surprise, given that the city’s name is synonymous with some of the most iconic films of all time. There’s a lot to take in, but if you’re looking to be the star of your own Great Escape, here are the best spots in town.
The escape room scene is alive in Hollywood. Since the first escape rooms arrived in Los Angeles in 2016, the film capital of the United States hasn’t stopped crafting these immersive puzzle experiences. In fact, Los Angeles proper is home to 49 different escape room venues. If you look around, you’ll notice several places that are expanding the definition of experiential entertainment in Hollywood. From the expansive Escape Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard to the innovative Escape Revolution on Melrose Avenue, there’s plenty to experience in the City of Angels. With over 170 escape games in the entire area, the possibilities are nearly endless — you’ll find games with themes of horror, adventure, crime, espionage, and plenty you may not expect.
Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
There are plenty of awesome escape rooms to choose from in Hollywood. The goal of Morty is to make escape rooms more accessible for everyone to find and play. With Morty, you can: - Browse escape rooms anywhere in the country - Read reviews and ratings from other community members - Book a room together with your friends Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned escape room enthusiast, our aim is to help you play more escape rooms and visit more immersive attractions.
Most escape room venues don’t accept walk-ins, and time slots for popular games may fill up fast. Besides that, not every escape room is the same — some have varying difficulties, and you don’t want to get stuck playing a room that’s beyond your experience level. That’s why the best way to book an escape room in Hollywood is through the Morty app. You can get updates on new games, read reviews, compare details (including difficulty, theme, runtime) and plan an outing with friends, all on the same platform. You can even coordinate games with your friends collaboratively. Download the Morty app and book your adventure today!
